A multi-media artist and a jeweler, I am currently most interested in sharing a beautiful story of life, pollination and growth through storytelling, line and color. ?
I grew up behind my fathers jewelry bench in Durango Colorado and received my BFA in Printmaking from The University of Colorado at Boulder. ?I have been blessed with mentors guiding me in the arts... Fiber Arts with Joy Blackstone throughout my childhood. Painting with Stanton Englehart of Fort Lewis College for ten years beginning in my teens, Engineering and Design with Dr. Byron?Lauer of the University of Colorado, Aesthetics and Plastic Surgery with Dr. Ronald Ritz, and a blast of color with Carol Salomon and her beads, and some igniting of adornment love through Image in Enamel with Veleta Vancza at Ox-Bow... ?I began studying Femininity in Argentine Society with a UROP Grant in 2005, filmed skateboarding with Null Skateboards in Spain from 2006-2008, dove into murals and public art in Chaing Mai, Thailand 2008, and returned to the USA to found a studio tour and work with my hometown Arts Center developing?strong conversations within an arts community. ?My work is inspired by reflections on human experience, ritual and storytelling.? I work large and small,?creating?whimsical, carnal, paintings and sculptural adornment.
